Robert J. Dimeff, MD joined Texas Orthopaedic Associates in January 2018 as a specialist in non-operative orthopedics and regenerative medicine. From 2009 to 2018, he was the Director of Primary Care Sports Medicine at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he was a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, Pediatrics, and Family & Community Medicine. He is currently Team Physician for the NHL Dallas Stars, consultant physician to the World Olympic Gymnastics Academy, Medical Director of the Dallas Rock-n-Roll ½ Marathon, and member of the US Anti-doping Review Board.

Dr. Dimeff graduated in 1985 from Kent State University and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, where he received the 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Rush Medical Center in Chicago and his Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He is board-certified in Family Practice with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is past President and a Charter Member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) and remains actively involved.
