Dr. Robert Miller is Secretary-Treasurer of the ABMS Board of Directors and currently the Executive Director of the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABOto). Dr. Miller is active in the business aspects of medical publishing having served as the Triological Society’s Publisher Liaison for many years. He held other roles within the organization, including Executive Secretary and Treasurer. Additionally, Dr. Miller serves or has served on the editorial boards of many of the major U.S. Otolaryngology journals, and is the founding editor of ENT Today, the most widely read publication in Otolaryngology in the U.S.

Dr. Miller’s leadership roles include work with the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education Residency Review Committee for Otolaryngology. His experience in the area of health policy and academic administration led to associations with the American College of Surgeons Health Policy Steering Committee, the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program National Advisory Committee, the Robert Wood Johnson Faculty Scholars Program National Advisory Committee, and the Institute of Medicine’s Sleep Medicine and Research Committee. A Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow from 1996 to 1997, Dr. Miller worked in the office of Senator John Breaux focusing on health policy issues including diabetes, hospice care, colorectal cancer screening, and Medicare reform.
