Robert Grossman PhD, A.B

Robert Grossman is a faculty member at the University of Chicago, where he is the chief research informatics officer (CRIO) of the Biological Sciences Division; a senior fellow and core faculty in the Institute for Genomics and Systems Biology and the Computation Institute; and a Professor in the Department of Medicine in the Section of Genetic Medicine.

His research group at the University of Chicago focuses on bioinformatics, data intensive science and related areas. He is the architect of the Bionimbus Protected Data Cloud, which is an open-source cloud-based computational platform that allows researchers authorized by NIH to compute over human genomic data in a secure and compliant fashion.
