Dr Elwes qualified in Medicine in Edinburgh in 1979 and underwent specialist neurology training in Newcastle upon Tyne. He completed his MD Thesis at the Institute of Psychiatry and King’s College Hospital Medical School and has published extensively within the field of epilepsy. Dr Elwes is a senior Physician in a large multidisciplinary group specialising in the investigation and treatment of epilepsy within King’s Health Partners. His practice relates fully to the care of people with this condition. He has a national and international private practice for the assessment of chronic epilepsy and the surgical evaluation of complex cases requiring intracranial EEG and also provides a second opinion service to other neurologists.
