Dr. Robert N. Eisenman is a Member of the Division of Basic Sciences at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He received his Ph.D. in Biophysics at the University of Chicago and carried out postdoctoral research at the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research and at M.I.T. His laboratory has been focused on understanding the biological and molecular functions of the myc oncogene using genetic and biochemical approaches. Dr. Eisenman’s laboratory uses genetic and molecular analyses to understand in detail the functions of these proteins and the pathways they control with the eventual goal of modulating their functions as a means of treating cancers.
