Prof. Bob Cleveland completed his fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at Boston Children’s Hospital in 1977 and remained in the Harvard system thereafter being appointed Professor of Radiology in 1998. His first 13 years on faculty were at the Massachusetts General Hospital where he rose to Chief of the Division of Pediatric Radiology. The subsequent 24 years have been at Boston Children’s Hospital where he served as Chief of the Division of General Radiology. He has served in numerous leadership positions within the hospitals, medical school, and national organizations, including, among others, Co-Chair of the Quality Improvement Committee and Director of the Office of Health Professional Education for Boston Children’s Hospital, Chair of one of 4 subcommittees of the Admission’s Committee for Harvard Medical School, numerous leadership positions for the American Board of Radiology and President of the New England Roentgen Society.

His academic and clinical interests have centered on pulmonary medicine with a specific focus on cystic fibrosis and the use of imaging as an outcome parameter for pulmonary research. He has served as the radiologist for the New England Pediatric Pulmonary Consortium since its inception approximately 30 years ago. In addition to routinely publishing in peer-reviewed journals, he is the editor of the recently published textbook, Imaging in Pediatric Pulmonology.
