Robert C. Smallridge MD

Robert (Bob) Smallridge, MD is Professor of Medicine and the Alfred D. and Audrey M. Petersen Professor of Cancer Research at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA, and completed internship and residency in internal medicine at Grady Memorial /Atlanta VA/Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta, GA.

He did his endocrinology fellowship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and remained in the army for 23 years, completing his military career as a Colonel and Director of the Division of Medicine at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, Washington, DC. He was also the Chair of Endocrinology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD and served as the endocrinology consultant to the Attending Physician for Congress.
