Dr. Lowe is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine and Educational Director of the Section of Gastroenterology at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Lowe graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, and completed his residency in internal medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He then pursued subspecialty training in gastroenterology at Boston Medical Center, where he served as a Clinical Fellow. He returned to Brigham and Women's Hospital in 1998 to serve as Chief Medical Resident for one year.
He later joined the Gastroenterology faculty at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and recently returned to Boston Medical Center as a faculty member in the Gastroenterology Section. In his role as Education Director for the Section, he coordinates educational activities for the Fellowship program and directs the GI pathophysiology course at the Boston University School of Medicine. In addition, he has an active role in the Medical Residency Program, serving as Assistant Program Director for Subspecialty Educational Programs.
