Rino Aldrighetti was hired as the Pulmonary Hypertension Association’s first professional staff person on January 1, 1999.
He worked for PHA on a part-time basis for two years, during which time he continued to operate his consulting business. In 2001, Rino became a full-time PHA employee. As PHA’s president, Rino has helped to move PHA from a 1,000 member rare illness association with a $132,000 annual income in 1998 to over 12,000 members, an additional 30,000 supporters and a $10.5 million income delivering research and programs for patients, family members and medical professionals.
