Ricky Rasschaert MD

Dr. Rasschaert started his residency in neurosurgery at Ghent University Hospital The last two years of his residency he received training at the Haaglanden Medical Center (the Netherlands) with a focus on complex back surgery and neuro-oncology. After his certification as a neurosurgeon in Belgium and the Netherlands, he was able to follow "fellowships" in craniotomy (Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam) and complex back surgery and neuro-oncology (again in the Haaglanden Medical Center).

From 2010 to 2014, Dr. Rasschaert, as a senior neurosurgeon at the University Hospital of Antwerp, developed complex back surgery. He has been working at ZNA Middelheim since 2014 for complex back surgery with an emphasis on "MISS" and the implementation of new techniques/technology. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Rasschaert also successfully completed the studies of "General Management for Medical Specialists" and "Legislation for Medical Expertise (2013)". Dr. Rasschaert is also a teacher at various colleges, in addition to various workshops on back injuries where he is a teacher and organizer.
