Dr. Lieberman is a Clinical Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pathology. Dr. Lieberman received a BA from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and an M.D. from The Uniform Services, University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed an internship and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the United States Air Force Medical Center, Keesler Airforce Base (Mississippi). Following an overseas tour of duty with the USAF, in 1990 he initiated residency training in Anatomic Pathology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and subsequently completed a Fellowship in Gynecologic Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Lieberman served as a physician with the U.S. Air Force, Medical Corps from 1979-1996. During this period he served as Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology at RAF Upper Heyford in the United Kingdom and was appointed Adjunct Clinical Instructor of Pathology and Assistant Professor of Pathology at the Uniformed Services of Health Sciences in Bethesda. Upon retirement from the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Lieberman joined the faculty at the University of Michigan Medical School as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Departments of Pathology and Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1997. Dr. Lieberman is board certified in Obstetrics Gynecology and Anatomic Pathology.
