Dr Rival is an Otolaryngologist Head and Neck Surgeon practising in Facial Plastic Surgery exclusively. His advanced training and knowledge of facial anatomy and ageing enable him to create extraordinary results that improve patient appearances while looking natural. Dr Rival only performs surgery on the face and neck. He is well known for his expertise in rhinoplasty and facelift surgery and teaches and lectures internationally on these topics.
During his education and subsequent training, Dr Rival studied under some of North America’s preeminent leaders in rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery, further solidifying his position as one of Canada’s top choices for aesthetic or functional improvements of the face. In addition to his private practice, Dr Rival is on the teaching faculty at the University of Toronto. He holds staff positions at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto and Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket. He is also chief of the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Southlake. Dr Rival has lectured both nationally and internationally on rhinoplasty. He has served as co-director of an annual instructional course in Toronto for other surgeons with a focus on rhinoplasty. This has attracted surgeons from across Canada and the United States. In addition to his double-board certification, Dr Rival is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is also the President of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
