Richard P. Brown, MD, an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University, completed his MD at Columbia University, Psychiatry Residency and fellowship in Psychobiology and Psychopharmacology at Cornell University Medical College. He specializes in Integrative Psychiatry, combining the best standard treatments with supplements and mind-body practices. Dr. Brown gives over 150 lectures each year and has published over 100 scientific articles, books and chapters. With his wife, Dr. Patricia Gerbarg, he co-authored Non-Drug Treatments for ADHD: New Options for Kids, Adults, and Clinicians, winner of Nautilus Books Health and Healing Gold Award 2013, Foreword Reviews' Book of the Year Gold Award 2013, Independent Publisher Psychology and Mental Health Gold Award 2012, and National Indie Book Gold Award in Psychiatry 2013. A certified teacher of Aikido (4th Dan), Yoga, Qigong, and Open Focus Meditation, he develops mind-body programs that help improve symptoms of stress, pain, anxiety, ADHD, depression, PTSD and stress-related medical conditions.
