Dr. Richard Moon is an anesthesiologist and pulmonary medicine specialist who specializes in high-risk anesthesia, undersea and hyperbaric medicine. He is a Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of the Center for Hyperbaric Medicine & Environmental Physiology at the Duke University Health System. His research interests include the study of cardiorespiratory function in humans during challenging clinical settings including the perioperative period and exposure to environmental conditions such as diving and high altitude. He has received numerous Federal grants to support his research and held a number of leadership positions.
