Richard M. Weir MD

Dr. Weir is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1974, and obtained his B.A. in Economics from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem. Dr. Weir received his MD from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and completed his General Surgery training at Oschner Hospital in New Orleans, LA. He completed his Otolaryngology residency with Tulane University in New Orleans and returned to Spartanburg to practice E.N.T. in 1987.

He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Head and Neck Surgeons and is a member of the Southern Medical Association. Dr. Weir is a member of the American Rhinologic Society, Spartanburg County Medical Society, and the South Carolina Medical Society.
