Richard Pescatore, DO receive his undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy in 2009 and served as a naval officer prior to receiving his medical school degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. Dr. Pescatore completed his residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ, where he was also chief resident. Currently, he is the Director of Clinical Research for the Crozer-Keystone Health System emergency medicine residency program.

Dr. Pescatore is active within the Free Open Access Medical Education (FOAM) community. He writes a monthly column in Emergency Medicine News called "What to D.O." and cohosts the EMN Live podcast. Dr. Pescatore regularly works in the lay media to dispel social media "medical myths" and to improve patient-physician relationships.
