Richard Irving is one of the UK’s leading otologists – a specialist in the study of conditions of the ear, hearing and balance. He qualified from London University in 1985 and was trained in London and Cambridge. He was appointed Consultant Otolaryngologist & Skull Base Surgeon at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth and Children’s Hospitals in 1997.
Richard offers specialist expertise in all aspects of ear disease, medically and surgically, in both adults and children. This includes chronic ear disease, tinnitus, balance disorders and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), Meniere’s disease, acoustic neuroma, glomus jugulare tumour, and hearing loss as well as industrial deafness.
