Richard M. Bergenstal MD

Dr. Bergenstal is an endocrinologist and Executive Director of the International Diabetes Center at Park Nicollet. He is Clinical Professor at the University of Minnesota and in 2010 was the American Diabetes Association’s, President, Medicine & Science. In 2007, he was ADA’s Outstanding Physician Clinician. He currently serves as IDC’s principal investigator for three NIH trials: the DCCT/EDIC (T1D) and the ACCORD follow-up and GRADE studies (T2D). He works to implement patient-centered team care utilizing new technology for glucose analysis and management.
