Dr. Brown is board certified in the fields of Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology. He received his medical school education at the University of Michigan and his post-graduate training in radiology and nuclear medicine at the University of California at Los Angeles Medical Center. Dr. Brown was in private practice prior to joining the faculty at the University of Michigan in June 2004. He is currently the Director of Clinical Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging at the University and has extensive experience in all areas of molecular imaging.

He is nationally known for his publications in the areas of Quality and Safety and serves as the National Co-Chair of the American College of Radiology Committee on Practice Parameters & Standards for Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, He is also a member of the Editorial Board of RadioGraphics. His current research interests include clinical applications for Augmented and Virtual Reality, oncologic imaging and data mining of imaging features to predict clinical outcomes.
