Richard J. Bransford, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with advanced skills in treating children and adults who have spinal disorders and injuries.
Dr. Bransford earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, Tennessee, and completed an internship and residency in orthopedics at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Dr. Bransford's clinical interests include spinal disorders and trauma surgery, general orthopedic surgery, third-world orthopedic disorders and education of third-world physicians.
Dr. Bransford is a UW assistant professor of orthopedics and sports medicine. His favorite aspect of patient care is surgery, but he thinks it is of utmost importance that patients have an adequate understanding of their issues, expected outcome and prognosis.
