Richard D. Clarens, PharmD, since 1980 has been with the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family & Community Medicine. He also has an affiliation with NDSU College of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Sciences, and Altru Health Systems.
His duties include being a faculty member with the UND and Grand Forks Family Medicine Residency Programs and teaching Medical, Physician Assistant, and Pharmacy students. A native of ND, he received a B.S. Pharmacy degree from North Dakota State University College of Pharmacy and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. His Postgraduate training includes a clinical pharmacy residency at the Palo Alto VA Hospital in California and a therapeutics fellowship at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center and the University of Minnesota.
