Dr. Richard Bruno is a primary care physician, board-certified in both family medicine and preventive medicine. He works at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Baltimore, MD. He has also served on the boards of the American Academy of Family Physicians, National Physicians Alliance, Physicians for a National Health Program, American Association of Public Health Physicians, MedChi the Maryland state medical society, Hampden Family Center, Sugar-Free Kids Maryland, and Friends of the Hampden School #55. He sits on the ethics panel of the Baltimore City Public Schools board of commissioners.

One of his main clinical focuses is obesity prevention, including sugary drink interventions at local cornerstones and cooking classes for kids. He and his wife of thirteen years have two children and live in Baltimore City where they love hiking, biking, and cooking together. He attained a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, a doctorate of medicine from Oregon Health and Science University, and a master of public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He graduated from the combined Family & Preventive Medicine residency program at MedStar Franklin Square and Johns Hopkins.
