Ricardo Ladeiras Lopes MD, PhD, FESC

Ricardo Ladeiras Lopes MD, PhD is a Cardiologist at Gaia Hospital Centre in Portugal. He is dedicated to cardiovascular imaging, especially cardiac CT and MRI. He is also a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, in Portugal. Involved in basic, translational, and clinical research activity since 2006. He is mainly interested in the utilization of cardiovascular imaging, cardiac CT, and MRI to explore the interplay between the cardiometabolic continuum (metabolic syndrome and diabetes) and diastology, heart failure, and coronary artery disease. In addition, special interest in the utilization of social media as a tool for communication of medical and scientific content.
