Dr. Poveda Jaramillo received his bachelor's degree at the Juan Bautista Migani school in Florencia-Caqueta, distinguishing himself as the best bachelor of his promotion and the third-best bachelor of his department. Later he obtained his medical degree from the Industrial University of Santander, in Bucaramanga, Santander. His training as an anesthesiologist was carried out at the University of Cartagena, carrying out external rotations in institutions of recognized prestige such as the Roosevelt Institute, the National Institute of Cancerology, and the Santa Fe de Bogotá Foundation. His training as a cardiovascular anesthesiologist was carried out with the CES University in institutions with extensive experience in the field of cardiovascular surgery, cardiology, and echocardiography such as Clínica Medellín de Occidente, Centro Médico Imbanaco in Cali, Clínica Las Condes in Santiago de Chile, and L 'San Raffaele University Scientific Institute, in Milan, Italy. He is the author of more than 10 publications in national and international journals and his name can be seen in databases such as Pubmed. He was certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and did rotations in different hospitals in the United States. He is recertified by the Association of the Colombian Council for Accreditation and Medical Recertification of Specialists and Related Professions - CAMEC. He is a reviewer for four medical journals: Colombian Journal of Anesthesiology, Spanish Journal of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Journal of Cardiology & Clinical Research, and Anesthesiology Research and Practice. He currently provides his services as a cardiovascular anesthesiologist with the SAS Heart Team and works as an intensivist at the Manuel Uribe Angel Hospital in the city of Envigado-Antioquia-Colombia. In a nutshell, he is an experienced anesthesiologist with a demonstrated history of working in health wellness and an expert in public speaking.
