Ricardo Garcia-monaco MD, PhD, FSIR

The Dr. Ricardo Garcia Monaco is a leading interventional radiologist , specialist Endovascular Therapy and Angiogram , national and international recognition. He completed his medical studies at the University of Buenos Aires, where he received his doctorate with a Diploma of Honor in 1981. He then completed his residency at the Italian Hospital of Buenos Aires and his Fellowship in Angiography and Interventional Radiology at the Bicetre Hospital in Paris, France. He also conducted a Fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology at the New York Medical Center, United States, a Fellowship in Neuroradiology at the Toronto Western Hospital, Canada, and a Fellowship in Oncology Interventionism at the Gustave Roussy Institute, France.

He is currently Head of the Diagnostic Imaging Service of the Italian Hospital, as well as Head of the Section of Angiography and Endovascular Therapy. He served for two consecutive terms as President of the Argentine Society of Radiology , in the period 2001-2006, and is currently a National Honorary Member of said Society. He was also President of the Inter-American College of Radiology (CIR) during the period 2006-2008, and is also Professor in the specialty of Diagnostic Imaging of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires .
