Reyk Horland

Reyk studied Biotechnology at TU-Berlin and later specialized in Medical Biotechnology. During his academic stay at the DRFZ (German Arthritis Research Center) and TU-Berlin his work focused on in vitro generation of cutaneous tissue substitutes. He co-developed one of the first human in vitro hair follicles for transplantation and substance testing. Since 2010 he is actively involved in the development of a Multi-Organ-Chip/Human-on-a-Chip platform technology for culture analysis of drug candidates, cosmetics, chemicals and consumer products.
