Reuben Bueno, Jr MD

Dr. Bueno joins our surgical faculty after serving on the faculty for the past 8 years at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL, where he was Residency Program Director, Director of Pediatric Plastic Surgery, and Associate Director of the Burn Unit. His clinical interests include adult and pediatric reconstructive plastic surgery, adult and pediatric hand surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, targeted muscle reinnervation, and burn surgery. His positions at Vanderbilt will include Chief of Pediatric Plastic Surgery at the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital and Plastic Surgery Residency Program Director. Dr. Bueno is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and has received multiple resident and medical student teaching awards, including Outstanding Teacher of Residents in the Department of Surgery in 2009
