Renee W. Joskow DDS, MPH, FAGD, FACD, FICD, CAPT, USPHS

Dr Joskow is a dentist and a medical epidemiologist and holds both a Doctor of Dental Surgery and a Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University. She completed a hospital-based General Practice Residency at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey following which she was appointed to the faculty of Columbia University. During her tenure, Dr Joskow maintained a private practice in New York and provided Quality Assurance/ Quality Control consulting services for several healthcare entities in the NY, NJ, CT, Tri-State area. After 15 years in New York, Dr Joskow joined the National Institutes of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) as a dental public health fellow after which she joined the National Center for Environmental Health.

Dr Joskow subsequently moved to the Office of the Surgeon General, Department of Health and Human Services where she served as Medical Readiness Manager and Director of Training and Education for the U.S. Public Health Service. She later joined the Chem/Bio Division, Science and Technology Directorate, in the Department of Homeland Security where she served as the Senior Medical Epidemiologist and Cooperative Agreements/Grants Program Manager. Subsequently, Dr Joskow served as a Dental Research Officer and Program Official at the National Institutes of Health.

Dr Joskow now serves in the position of Senior Dental Advisor for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) where she provides leadership across HRSA on issues and activities related to oral health. Dr Joskow is Board Certified in the speciality of Dental Public Health, a fellow in the American College of Dentists, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the New York Academy of Dentists. Dr Joskow proudly holds the rank of Captain (O-6) in the U.S. Public Health Service.
