Renata Buccheri MD, PhD

Renata Buccheri, M.D., Ph.D. has joined VRI as a Scientific Project Manager on the REDS-IV-P Brazil program and ADVANCE Study. Trained as an infectious disease physician, she has worked at VRI since 2020 and oversees large database projects focused on blood donors, HIV infections in donors, and assessing the risk of arbovirus infections in the blood supply in Brazil (ZIKV, CHIKV, and DENV).
