Remzi Avci MD

Dr. Remzi Avci is the founder and chairman of Retina Eye Hospital Bursa-Turkey. He graduated from Uludag University Faculty of Medicine in 1986. After the residency period of ophthalmology at Uludag University, he worked with Prof A.F Deutman at Nijmegen University for two years and completed his clinical fellowship in Vitreoretinal diseases. Then he founded Vitreoretinal Surgery Unit at the Department of Ophthalmology at Uludag University Medical School, and he worked at the same clinic for 25 years. He was assigned as a professor in 2002 and he still works in the field of vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina at Retina Eye Hospital Bursa-Turkey. He has served as an invited speaker on vitreoretinal surgery in international meetings. He is a member of many national and international societies including ASRS, AAO, Euretina, and the Club Jules Gonin.
