Remi Gau is a Research Associate at Origami Lab, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He specializes in neuroscience. His work concentrates on how prior information affects multi-sensory integration. The first part of his PhD looked at how contextual incongruency affects the fusion of audio-visual speech information using psychophysics and fMRI. Using seven-tesla high-definition fMRI, he is now investigating how attention modulates the fusion of auditory and visual information in different layers of the cerebral cortex.
