Reinout W. Wiers PhD

Professor of Developmental Psychopathology and Faculty Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Amsterdam. Work of his research-group is aimed at furthering our understanding into the (neuro-)cognitive processes involved in the etiology of addiction and related disorders and to use this knowledge to develop new interventions. He published over 200 international papers and received the prestigious VIDI and VICI research grants from the Dutch National Science Foundation (N.W.O.), for research on implicit cognition and addiction.
