Rehan Farooqi MD

Dr. Rehan Farooqi, MD, is a physician and academic clinician currently serving as Program Director of Hospital Medicine at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in the United States. Born and raised in Dubai, he moved to Toronto early in his life, where he completed his high school education and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. Dr. Farooqi went on to attend medical school in the Caribbean, during which he gained diverse clinical experience across multiple U.S. healthcare systems through elective rotations.

He completed his medical residency and chief year at MedStar Health in Baltimore, where he trained in internal medicine and developed a strong commitment to inpatient care. Following residency, he became a hospitalist at MedStar, where he now leads the Hospital Medicine program, overseeing clinical services and promoting high-quality patient care. As an invited speaker at international ophthalmology and vision science forums, Dr. Farooqi contributes his insights on multidisciplinary clinical perspectives and the integration of systemic health with specialty care.
