Reha N. Tandogan, M.D. was born in 1962 in Ankara. He graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School in 1985 with honors, being 4th in his class. He underwent specialty training in Hacettepe University Medical School, Department of Orthopaedics & Traumatology, in Ankara. Dr. Tandogan worked as an assistant to Dr. Gerard Bascoulergue in the Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology Clinic of Institut Calot (Berck, France) for a year in 1990. He trained with the late Prof. Dr. Robert W. Jackson, Baylor University, Dallas, Texas in 1993. He became an associate professor in 1995 and transferred to Baskent University, Dept. of Orthopaedics & Traumatology.

He was appointed the chairman of the department in 1998 and also undertook the duties of the chairman of the Sport Sciences department in 2001. He became a professor in 2001. Baskent University was recognized as an ISAKOS Approved Teaching Center and hosted several international fellows during his chairmanship. Dr.Tandogan resigned from his university post and has been in private practice since 2007. Prof. Tandogan is currently a senior member of Cankaya Orthopaedics, a 14 surgeon group specializing in arthroscopic surgery and arthroplasty.
