Regie Santos-cortez MD, PhD

Dr. Regie Santos-Cortez is an Associate Professor performing basic and translational research in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Her lab performs genomic analyses to identify common and rare variants that modulate susceptibility to several otolaryngologic diseases, including hearing loss and otitis media. Functional support for these variants is obtained by multi-omic studies that are performed in-house or through collaboration. The knowledge gained from these studies will help support risk screening, diagnosis, and development of treatment protocols or new therapies for otolaryngologic diseases.
