Dr. Jha has over 23 years of experience as an abdominal radiologist with specific expertise in hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary imaging. She initiated the imaging program for transplant surgery at Georgetown over 20 years ago, and as the prior director of MRI for 17 years, she has a detailed understanding of the use of advanced MR imaging. Dr. Jha has lectured at many national and international courses and has been the recipient of several teaching awards. She is also a lecturer at the American Institute for Radiologic Pathology (AIRP) in the GI section, focusing on hepatobiliary disease.

She has a busy clinical practice, and has experience looking at very complex cases both prior to and after the use of ablative therapies, chemotherapies, as well as post-resection and transplant, and acts as a resource for managing a large referral base of complicated HPB cases. Dr. Jha is a professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine with a dual appointment in the Departments of Radiology and Surgery.
