Dr. Burke was an attending cardiac surgeon at Children’s Hospital Boston where he pioneered minimally invasive interventions for infants and children with congenital heart disease. After graduating from Stanford University, he received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and served as chief resident in cardiovascular surgery at Children’s Hospital Boston. He is a diplomate of the American Boards of Thoracic Surgery and General Surgery and a fellow in the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Burke has published numerous articles and has lectured extensively on his new surgical methods. His current focus is in the research of web-based information technologies and discovering new ways to minimize the cumulative trauma of surgery.
