Rebecca Lee Haffajee is a trained lawyer and health policy researcher, is a Policy Researcher at the RAND Corporation and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She was the Policy Analysis Activities Lead on the Policy Workgroup in the Outreach and Translation Core at the U-M Injury Prevention Center. Dr. Haffajee’s research combines detailed legal analyses with empirical investigations of the relationships between law and health. Dr. Haffajee substantively focuses her research on behavioral health and pharmaceutical policy areas, evaluating policies such as mental health/substance abuse parity and laws intended to curb opioid addiction and misuse, like prescription drug monitoring programs.
