Rebecca Amariglio (pronounced Amarilio) is a practicing Clinical Neuropsychologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Junior Faculty at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Neurology. Her research focus is in the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) using sensitive cognitive and functional measures. In particular, she is interested in the role of subjective memory complaints as a potential early indicator of Alzheimer’s disease. She is a recipient of the New Investigator Research Award from the Alzheimer’s Association and the Career Development Award from the National Institute on Aging to further investigate her area of interest. She is also part of an international working group, supported by the Alzheimer’s Association, to develop universal criteria for defining subjective memory decline in the context of Alzheimer’s disease and the Hurvitz Brain Sciences Research Program Director at Sunnybrook Research Institute.
