Rebecca Durham Reder, OTD, OTR/L, is Senior Clinical Director of the Division of Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy (OT & PT) at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Under her direction, the Division of OT / PT has grown to be one of the largest and most respected in the country. Dr. Reder provides vision and leadership for a division with services in 11 locations and a staff of over 215. She also provides lectures on a national and international level. Her most recent work includes transforming the culture of her division into an evidence-based practice culture. Under her direction, the Division of OT & PT has written and published numerous evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, some of which have selected for inclusion on the National Guideline Clearinghouse website. Her division is now monitoring the treatment outcomes for children who are treated using the clinical practice guidelines. Using objective outcome data and the application of improvement science techniques, she is now working on creating changes that will result in improving the outcomes for the children that they serve. Dr. Reder received her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Ohio State University and her doctorate from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.
