Dr. Razib Khaund is an internist with a certificate of added qualifications in sports medicine and serves as the Director of Sports Medicine. He specializes in non-operative sports medicine. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in natural sciences from Johns Hopkins University and a doctorate of medicine from New Jersey Medical School. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Brown University where he was chief resident in his last year and completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia including serving as a physician for the 1996 Olympic Games.
Dr. Khaund is an Assistant clinical professor at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and has earned many awards for teaching and the practice of sports medicine including the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching award. He is a member of the Rhode Island Interscholastic League Sports Medicine Advisory Board and a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. His interests include the role of anti-inflammatory medications in musculoskeletal medicine and sports-related concussions.
