Ray Liu PhD, DABT

Dr. Ray Liu is the head of Statistical Innovation and Consultation group at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, the largest pharmaceutical company in Japan that was founded 235 years ago. His group is responsible for developing novel methodology, and providing statistical consultation and project support to various functional areas in pharmaceutical R&D, including Discovery, CMC, Translational Research, and Outcome Research.

Ray is an active contributor in the statistical community. He has been the conference chair of Midwest Biopharmaceutical Statistics Workshop for years 2015 and 2016. He has organized and presented at multiple statistical conferences sponsored by national organizations such as ASA, MBSW, NCB and ICSA. He is the author of more than 30 statistical and scientific manuscripts and book chapters, and is a member of ASA, PSTC Stats working group, IQ consortium, and NCBLF. Dr. Ray Liu received his bachelor and master degrees from National Taiwan University and PhD degree from Columbia University. He worked for Pfizer Inc prior to his current position.
