Raul J. Seballos, MD, joined Cleveland Clinic in 1997 following two years of private practice in internal medicine. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University, he earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at St. Luke’s Medical Center and served a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Seballos currently practices preventive medicine in his role as Vice Chairman of Preventive Medicine at Cleveland Clinic’s Executive Health Program.
Dr. Seballos is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and is a member of the American College of Preventive Medicine and American Medical Association. He was elected by his peers for inclusion in Best Doctors in America® in 2007. Dr. Seballos currently serves as a reviewer for Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine and is an Advisory Board member for Cleveland Clinic’s Men’s Health Advisor. He is the Preventive Medicine Section Editor for Cleveland Clinic’s Clinical Medicine textbook.
His primary interests are preventive medicine, cardiovascular risk assessment, cancer screening, men’s health and adult attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. Dr. Seballos is also involved with medical student education at Cleveland Clinic's Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. In 2009, Dr. Seballos received a "Service Excellence Award", presented annually to 10 physicians nationwide who have demonstrated an extremely high level of integrity and compassionate care to Healthnetwork members. In 2011, he was honored with "The Richard S. Lang, M.D. Distinguished Chair in Preventive Medicine."
