Flavio H. Rasetto MD, DDS, MS, FACP

Dr. Flavio Rasetto is a Prosthodontist certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics, and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. He received his dental degree from the National University of Rosario, Argentina in 1990. He practiced as a General Dentist for 6 years in Argentina and he was a Junior Faculty member at the University of Rosario, Dental School, assisting in the Prosthodontics and Orthodontics department while he was deciding on his next step of specialization. His passion for dentistry and his artistic abilities, made him pursue the specialty in Prosthodontics. Dr. Rasetto was accepted to the Advance Specialty Program in Prosthodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School in 1996, where he completed successfully a 3-year Postgraduate Program in Prosthodontics and a master's in Oral Biology. His achievements during the residency program provided him with the honor to be offered a teaching position as Assistant Director of the Postgraduate Prosthodontics Program at the University of Maryland. Dr. Rasetto mentored postgraduate residents as a full-time faculty member from 2000 until 2006 and he provided prosthodontics services in the Intramural Faculty Practice until 2005 when he decided to move into private practice in Chevy Chase, MD. He remains involved in academia as a Clinical Assistant Professor of the same program where he teaches part-time. He is the former Chairman of the Table Clinic Committee of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. While he was a full-time faculty member he was part of the Phi Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a prestigious academic society. He has reinstated with a group of Prosthodontist colleagues in the Maryland Section of the American College of Prosthodontics in 2006 and he served as President until 2009. Dr.Rasetto has developed his ability of ownership in dental practice through the purchase of a dental office in 2007 and then merging a second dental office in 2014 to what is now known as Chevy Chase Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry( www.cccid.net) where he provides Prosthodontics and Restorative Dental Services to patients in the Washington DC and Suburban Areas with his team members and two dental colleagues. His vision has helped him build a strong team of Prosthodontists and General dentists with exceptional customer service with the mission to help patients achieve their goals of oral health by restoring patients' dentition and helping them stay healthy. His passion for education has led him to share his knowledge thru lectures at the local, national and international levels. Dr.Rasetto has published in peer-review journals and he has provided services to the Holocaust survivor program, Latin Youth Program in Washington DC and volunteer organizations like Mission of Mercy and Indian Reservation thru the Dental School Program while he was a full-time faculty member. He lives in Bethesda MD, with his beautiful wife Flavia and adorable children, Kiara and Gianni. He loves, soccer, music, dancing, drawing, traveling, and expending time with his family and friends.
