Dr. Randy Mascarenhas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Mascarenhas specializes in Sports Medicine with a focus on arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder and knee.

Dr. Mascarenhas attended medical school and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at The University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Dr. Mascarenhas also completed both a research fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the prestigious clinical fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout his training, Dr. Mascarenhas has helped provide care for athletes of all levels including professional athletes from the Winnipeg Jets (NHL), Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL), Chicago Bulls (NBA), and Chicago White Sox (MLB).
