Dr. Ramon Gutierrez-Sandoval is a renowned physician and pathologist specializing in oncopathology, currently serving as CSO at OGRD Alliance in the United States. He is an international corporate consultant for biotechnology centers, licenses, and franchises, with a globally recognized career in advanced, personalized, and precision biological, cellular, and molecular immunotherapy against cancer. He is also the author of strategic corporate biomolecular patent designs. His career has been focused on cutting-edge research and innovation in immuno-oncopathology and the applications of pulsed dendritic cell-derived exosomes (DEX).
Dr. Gutierrez-Sandoval’s academic background includes key master's degrees aligned with his scientific work: Medical Doctor from the University of Concepción, Chile (1996), specialized in Pathology from the University of Chile under the MINSAL primary fellowship (conacem 9628; https://www.conacem.cl/), a Master's in Clinical Oncology, a Master's in Precision Oncology, Genomics, and Big Data, a Master's in Molecular Oncology (MOM), a Master's in Oncologic Pathology for Pathologists, and an MSL from UC Berkeley Extension. Focusing on biopsies, cytology, and autopsies, Dr. Gutierrez-Sandoval has dedicated years to biotechnology development and innovation in cancer research through his work in molecular and cytometry laboratories. He is widely recognized for his outstanding contributions to cancer theranostics and cellular immunotherapy.
Throughout his career, his innovative approach has led him to spearhead the founding of several biotechnology companies dedicated to cancer-specific projects. His corporate collaborations include temporary representation to expedite the management of scientific licenses (protection, promotion, and transfer through industrial property registrations, patents, and copyrights), after which he transfers his participation to the scientific or investment groups that own each project, without engaging in the financial or administrative management typically required by corporate biotechnology development.
Upon emigrating from Chile in 2021, he focused exclusively on corporate consulting and advisory services for consortia, institutes, research centers, scientific societies, and foundations in various countries. Dr. Gutierrez-Sandoval’s expertise in managing complex projects has earned him invitations to serve as an expert advisor and/or member of several international scientific societies, including the American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the Molecular & Precision Oncology International Society (MPOIS), the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC), and as President of the Chilean Society of Molecular Oncology (SOCHOM). His active collaboration in scientific publications and books on the advancements of dendritic cell and DEX immunotherapy against cancer has cemented his reputation as a key figure in the field. Currently, Dr. Gutierrez-Sandoval divides his time between the United States, Spain, and Latin America, contributing to strategic consultancy and advanced biotechnological developments via digital platforms, which allows him to remain a key contributor to the ongoing global scientific efforts against cancer.
