Ramazan Akdemir MD, PhD

He was born in Köyceğiz, Muğla in 1970. He graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1995. happened. He started his cardiology residency at Istanbul Koşuyolu Heart Hospital in 1997. He completed his specialization at the same hospital in 2001. In 2001, he worked as an assistant at AIBU Duzce Medical Faculty Cardiology Department. Assoc. He started working with his staff. He received the title of associate professor in the same department in 2005. In the same year, he was appointed as Clinic Chief to SB Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital to establish a Cardiology Clinic. In 2009, as his second duty (88 items), he was appointed as the Founding Chief Physician of Trabzon Ahievren Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital. He completed the establishment of this hospital as a fully equipped, functional hospital with all its staff and all its units within 8 months. He performed ASD closure, VSD closure, PDA closure, mitral balloon, and biventricular pacemaker applications and gave training for the first time in the Eastern Black Sea region. After completing his duty as the founding chief physician, he returned to his position as clinical chief at Ankara Dışkapı Yıldırm Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital. He was rewarded with a letter of appreciation by the Minister of Health and the Governor of Trabzon for his successful services.

In 2007, he was deemed worthy of the Physician of the Year award for his contribution to the spread of Primary PTCA applications in the treatment of Acute ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction in Ankara.
Between 2009 and 2010, he worked as a temporary instructor at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University and SB Van Regional EAH Heart Hospital and performed ASD, VSD, PDA Closure, and Mitral Balloon Valvuloplasty on more than 300 patients with the team working in the relevant hospitals.

On November 25, 2010, he was promoted to professor at Sakarya University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Cardiology.
He served as Dean of the SAU Faculty of Medicine between 2012-2020.
During this period, the establishment of the faculty, the creation of staff and curriculum, the establishment of education and training governance systems, and the establishment of educational infrastructures. During this period, he managed the completion of the training of more than 500 Medical Doctors and 400 specialist doctors and their training to work in other provinces in Turkey.
