Ralph Sinkus PhD

Ralph Sinkus was born in Germany in 1967. He received his Ph.D. degree in high-energy physics from Deutsches Elektron Synchrotron, Hamburg, Germany. He was with Philips Research Germany, Hamburg, for seven years, working on different topics such as cardiac MRI, fast imaging techniques like SENSE (sensitive encoding, and MR elastography. the last topic caught his greatest attention, especially it's potential for improving diagnostic specificity in breast cancer detection. He became Research Director of CNRS/France, Paris, in 2004, where he is working in the Laboratoire Ondes et Acoustique, Ecole Supérieure de Physique et de Chilie Industrielle, Paris. His main current research interests are the link between micro and macro rheology, fMRI for the understanding of neural pathways, and the combination of ultrasound and MRI.
