Responsible for the clinical operation of all sleep lab operations at the Cleveland Clinic. I manage 8 sleep lab locations and the home sleep apnea testing operation. We have the capacity to complete 44 sleep studies per night and about 125 home sleep apnea tests per week. We conducted approximately 15,000 sleep studies last year.

I have a strong interest in continuous quality improvement initiatives to improve the care delivered to our patients in a cost-effective manner that has received system-wide recognition from our team and received a Cleveland Clinic systemwide award for our efforts.

I have more than 30 years of post-doctoral experience in sleep disorders medicine. My areas of expertise include research, patient care, teaching, and administration. I have served as the medical and research director for several large sleep disorders centers, including the VA hospital, and I have held various academic positions including Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Riverside, Associate Professor of Medicine, Neurology, and Pediatrics and serve as Adjunct, Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine and co-founded the LLUMC Children’s Hospital.

My main career interests currently include the application of sleep research and medicine to enhance athletic performance and learning and applying proven methods to enhance clinical care.
