Rajiv R. Shah MD

Dr. Shah, a Board-certified nephrologist, created the MyMeds concept of patient engagement in 2001, and launched the company in 2012. At Boston University, he studied Cognitive Psychology with a focus on memory creation, and used those principles to design the MyMeds platform, which helps to change medication-taking behaviors and improve medication adherence (taking medicines properly). MyMeds was the winner in the Startup category at the 2014 Leaders in Healthcare Awards, awarded to a remarkable new health care company. Over the years, Dr. Shah has received multiple awards for his work, including the Virginia McKnight Binger Award in Human Service, 40 Under 40, Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans, and Real Power 50. He is Chairman Emeritus of ACES and focuses his volunteer efforts on education reform for inner-city students.
